Head of IT

We are delighted to be working with an ambitious business who are delivering an enterprise-wide Business Transformation, through a technology-centric business strategy.

To support future plans, we are seeking a brand-new appointment for a Head of IT to work with the CIO to develop a future focused IT function.

Key skills and responsibilities will be around the following elements of Technology:

• IT Service Management
• IT Operations Management
• Vendor Management
• IT Security

Work will include:

• Working with the CIO and wider team to support the initial and ongoing development of an IT Operating model
• Implement the new model, using best practice to support service management, processes, Toolsets, KPI's, SLA's, vendors etc
• Supporting and working with the strategic partner to deliver new cloud platform
• Bring operational elements f the platform into operational support
• Develop an effective managed service with the strategic partner

Additionally, the post will manage a team of 5 direct reports. The role requires a people focused Head of IT to establish objectives, support and develop individuals to deliver and maintain a future focused, fit for purpose IT function.

This role could support someone moving into their first 'Head of' Role.

This role requires an individual to be able to work in the office in Newcastle upon Tyne 4 days per week.
