Marine Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated Marine Engineer to join our brilliant clients team in Newcastle Upon Tyne. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a diverse portfolio of civil engineering works within the marine environment, working alongside a team of skilled engineers and technicians.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Design and assessment of marine structures.
- Communicate professionally with colleagues, clients, contractors, and other designers, providing advice and guidance on engineering matters.
- Review designs and drawings for compliance with design standards, best practice guidance, contractual obligations, and client expectations.
- Ensure technical output is consistent and maintains high quality.
- Comply with Health and Safety legislation, including CDM Regulations.
- Understand construction contracts and terms of appointment, and liaise with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities.
- Develop skills in technical analysis, design software, and AutoCAD.
- Attend design meetings, site meetings, and carry out site inspections.
- Manage projects within agreed budgetary limits and timescales.
- Prepare and issue technical project information, including calculations and drawings.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience in marine or civil engineering.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Full clean driving license.
- Developing proficiency in relevant technical analysis and design software.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively.
